| Bio: | I'm no good at writing bios, so I'll keep this fairly brief and not bore you all to death ;). I'm eighteen years of age and I'm English. I go by the names "Calaethis Dragonsbane" and "Dark Psycher", my given name is "Colin", though, I prefer my 'net ones - at least, online. I live in England, (surprise, surprise) in a town called "Colchester". I was born in England, and have spent roughly, oh, 98% of my life here. You saw that awful picture up there on the right? Well, that's me. I don't often smile, so - lol - consider yourself privileged ;). Currently, I'm a college student, studying in the field of computing. Aside from this, I spend my time reading (fantasy genre), roleplaying, writing (to a degree), and occasionally playing computer games, mostly CRPGs - seeing a trend here yet? I also spend a lot of time online, talking to various friends, some of whom I'd like to meet in the future. I occasionally sketch, though; I haven't done for a while. Other then my interests, I'm not sure really sure what to write about. Heh, I guess I could say something about my physical features. I'm roughly about 5'11 (w/boots), and I weigh (last time I checked) ten stone. My hair's natural black, - (as you can see - if you look at the awful pic to your right) - and my eyes "brown" or if I wanted to be more descriptive, "hazel". My skin tone - is what I'd describe as "having a natural tan". That comes from being half English, Half Malaysian, I know, an odd mix - blame my parents. I s'pose I'd describe my build as "slender", due to my bone structure. Well, I said I wouldn't write too much, and that seems like a reasonable amount - I'll add more if I think of anything. I could add my favourite authors, but right now, I *really* can't be bothered... possibly because I'm at college, and should be doing my coursework - which needs to be in for tomorrow. Opps. Guess I'd better go. Cya around. - 11-12-2003 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Well, I suppose it's about time I updated this. Given that it's been oh, what, five years since I wrote this? Has it really been so long? I guess it must have been, hasn't time flown? Well, it has and it hasn't. But that's not really the point. A lot has changed, and a lot hasn't. My name's still "Colin" (surprise surprise), and my list of 'net names has increased, but I prefer my given one - by friends at least - now to my chosen handles. The nature of this blog seems to have changed somewhat over the years, and now I don't just rant or write about every day life (as riveting as that is!), but I also include bits and pieces of writing, posts about where I'm at in my life, ideas, scribbles, and of course, rants too ^_~. I'm sure I'll return in a few years and write another section. Hmm... brief history since I wrote the intro to this. Let's see... been to Canada several times for a few months, had a fiancée and now not, been to Southern California for six weeks, spent a few weeks in Ireland, written a lot of junk (nothing published), written some more, read a lot of stuff, watched a lot of stuff... flunked two years of college miserably; had several jobs, been an extra on Steven Fry's "Kingdom", and now I do voluntary work at a homeless charity. I also help with a local youth group, help out at 'Friends International', currently taking an A-level in Psychology, a creative writing course, taken two creative writing courses already, and have plans to visit other countries. I also have managed to keep an unhealthy, but steady trend of being nocturnal (staying only diurnal for a few days/weeks at a time and losing it) since college. So all in all, not too much. Oh, and now my hair's longer. A lot longer. Past my shoulders - which may, or may not be a good thing. I also seem to have developed a beard - but I've a reason for that! See, at the place I work at - (voluntary work) - aside from doing laundry, handing out clothing and such, I also clean the showers. Some of our clients carry some rather nasty diseases - the nicest of which is perhaps Hepatitis - which lingers in the water for up to 48hrs. So... risking open cuts on my face isn't exactly wise. ...That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'll probably get bored of the facial hair soon enough and shave it all off though. It also happens to be four in the morning. Meaning I've just messed up my three week normal sleeping pattern. Oh well, at least I don't get jet lag. -_-. Anyway, I'll probably update this in another three to five years or something. -C. Oh, and this journal is friends' locked - entries are personal and such.
